Media Obsession with Palin!!

No one knows where the media obsession with Palin will lead her, many speculate a 2012 run for Presidency, while others are confused of her intentions. Not long ago, the media was bashing the President for over-exposure, they complain that he is everywhere and doing everything but how come that same standard does not apply to Palin? I am sick of seeing or even reading anything she says, I personally feel like she's dumber than a kindergarten drop-out and I do not mean that as a slight to conservative Women, even though most appear to just be echoing what their husband or daddy tells them. Palin has been all over the place, selling books and bashing the Obama administration.....I am not sure if there has ever been any Vice-Presidential candidate that lost and can not swallow the loss.....the best way to show her anger is to undermine the winner? What happened to waiting for re-election period? She has an opinion on anything, eventhough, she hardly makes any sense. I guess she gets a pass because she's apparently "hot", and that is what Republicans seem to look for in a woman (good looks and dumb..check Foxnews women)...they perfectly suit each-other.
The media would not be obsessed over Palin if she was smart because that would be deemed boring, they seek drama and Palin provides that for them. I have heard the argument that she was a former governor but I also remind people that it was in Alaska and the people living in Alaska are mostly value voters...she seem to do good among the crowd that believes they are on God's side....God must be pro-life (but God wanted first babies sacrificed to him in the Bible), God created us as we are (Evolution is meaningless)...I have never seen a group using God's name to promote their selfish agendas like the Palin group. They claim to be getting back to Reaganomics and social conservatism....Under Reagan, the economy was horrible, Reagan was not as good as conservatives would like people to believe, he was simply a likable guy, political empty suit with no substance.
I have something in common with Palin though, we both cannot get a good hold of the English language. It is funny when I was reading comments by Palin fans on her Facebook page....almost all of them are asking people to pray that God derail Obamacare...Apparently, they believe God is a capitalist and he would not want everyone of his human creatures to have equal access to health-care.

The media needs to stop treating Palin as if she's something special, and the media needs to stop making dumb politicians that cannot process information to simply say anything and get away with it. Lately it seems like Palin and Bacchman are trying to out-Palin eachother because they know the media swallows up their junk and put it out there as if it is legit. The whole "death panel" thing surprised me, do we even need to pay attention to baseless accusations that Palin spews? It is about time that people stop paying attention to self absorbed politicians....she apparently retired from governorship because of a "higher calling"...Boi can this lady not get away with anything simply because she's "hot"...... not?

  1. First let me say that Sarah Palin is not at the doors of the media BEGGING them to follow her and to give her this attention. She is a lightning rod because of the way she was portrayed by liberals and Democrats in the 2008 election. They tried to make her appear as dumb and stupid. It really had NOTHING to do with her as a person, it is because she is a conservative WOMAN. You would think that by now that people would be done with the old ways of thinking that women are only meant for the home, but it's simply not the case. Palin has a lot of experience, but that experience does not include knowing how to deal with the media. The only reason Hillary Clinton was not attacked to the same extent of Palin is because Hillary has had previous experience in learning how to effectively deal with the media.

If you will notice, Hillary dresses different than Palin. Palin gives off a effeminate look while Hillary gives off this more masculine look. Hillary does this to create a different image than simply being a woman and to show that she won't take any mess. Palin just has to learn just as Hillary has. I've said this before, but one reason that many other women don't like Palin is because they are JEALOUS! I've asked women and that was the overwhelming response. They are jealous that Palin is able to do all of these things while still having a family. I think some people need to start thinking for themselves instead of letting the media do all of the thinking for them...but that's just me.

  2. Oh and in response to what you said about Palin "bashing the Obama administration", I think it is great and well deserved. It was fine for all of these people to go around bashing President Bush because they didn't agree with what he was doing, but it's not ok for people to do the same to Obama? Why should Obama be given any special treatment?

  3. @Drew...When was the last time you saw a Vice Presidential candidate on the losing side bashing the President since the day he took office? She is self-absorbed. I don't know any woman that is jealous of Sarah Palin and no one made her appear dumb. In her latest interview with Barbara Walters, her answer to the settlement expansion in Israel was "More and more Jewish people will be flocking to Israel in the days and weeks and months ahead" are you seriously telling me that her enlightenment on the issues is why people are supporting her? It seems like you are saying that people want her because the Democrats "tried to make her appear as dumb and stupid" Conservatives will even admit that she is not well versed on any issue apart from abortion and the "real America" that exist only in rural White areas....so basically the conservative support for her is a reaction against Democrats? Is that how conservatives choose leaders?

  4. That's not at all what I said. I talked about her being a WOMAN in politics. I find it interesting you focus only on bad interviews. Did you happen to see any of her numerous other interviews where she has been doing well and where she discusses past interviews? And maybe you should start asking why they don't like her other than the reason that the media has said she is dumb. Have you ever for a second thought maybe she is different than other politicians and that maybe it's a good thing?

You ask when the last time was that a Vice Presidential candidate on the losing side bashed the President since the day he took office. It happens all of the time with almost all politicians. Every Democrat thought it was fine to criticize and attack Bush from the second he came into office. So if people can dish out these criticisms but not take criticism themselves, then maybe they should keep their mouths shut. Otherwise, they should expect just as harsh criticisms on them.

  5. Different than other politicians? are you kidding me? A person identifying some parts of America as "real" and others as elites is a good thing?...if that is not the same dirty politics of appealing to a certain racial and religious group, I do not know what it is. I did not judge her through what I saw in the media, I saw her give speeches and she does nothing more than divide to conquer. The woman does not even understand the challenges of common people, she see everything through her religious lens and you think the country is better off with that? we'll all just get on board and things will be fine right? Can you tell me anything of substance she says other than cut taxes, reduce government and God, God, God? I bet you cannot even name one Vice-Presidential candidate that went on a bashing tour of the President after losing...she's self absorbed and she's cashing in on fame and nothing more. How come she did not stand for anything nationally till she was picked for Vice-President? All of a sudden she care cares about America? even after representing a group that called for Alaska's independence.

  6. I am a woman (with a family) and I am in no way, shape, or form jealous of Sarah Palin! Nor do I think she has any more intelligence than any other woman who has ever graduated with at most an undergraduate degree. I don't like nor dislike her personally because I don't know her, but I do know that she would make a terrible president of this country. Every politician is going to be criticized because we have nothing meaningful in our lives and we are just looking for something to attach our pointless existence to, whether good or ill.

Drew: Please don't stereotype women as being jealous of other women just because they say they don't like them. Not every woman is still stuck in adolescence.

  7. I had NO idea that women were jealous till I started asking people why they despised her. Women told me that they were jealous of her. Trust me, it's not something I simply made up myself. I know it's hard to believe that so many people ARE still stuck in that way of thinking, but it's true.

  8. On top of what I already said, women AND men both shared the thinking that women are not meant for politics. So so so many have told me that they STILL believe women are meant to stay in the home and work and that there is no place for a woman in the work place. Trust me, I was as shocked as you are. I was blown away that women in 2009 still think that their only role in society is to work in the home.

  9. I can assure you that the reason I dislike Palin is based on her lack of intelligence and her conservative views, not due to jealousy. The women in your "study" must not have been informed citizens so as to rationalize hatred toward Palin because of their jealousy. Personally, I judge political figures on their performance in office, voting history, and the issues they back, not on their looks. That would be shallow and what I would consider poor citizenship. As a woman, I am not jealous of her success and honestly believe she is just milking the spotlight for more attention and money. I really cannot name one good thing that she has done for her state in the last year, and what kind of "good" politician abandons their position as governor even though they promised they would not. What she has been successful with is becoming a political figure head, one that represents the disappearing breed of die hard conservatives.

  10. I agree with you that Sarah Palin has gotten more than her fair share of Fox attention especially in the past week. I think it had a lot to do with her book more than anything else. You also have to remember that Fox news is out to make money and they will show what their audience wants to see. So either Palin paid them to advertise her and her book or Fox news got a whole lot of ratings from having her as a guest.
